Shark Venture Event

The Shark Venture Event is a pitching competition inspired by the Shark Tank TV show, which has been organized and coordinated by the Business Society, in collaboration with the Frank J. Guarini School of Business and Institute for Entrepreneurship. 

The event took place on March 21st, in the Secchia Terrace, Guarini Campus. As the first edition of the Shark Venture, this was a great success as more than 35 participants joined along with an international jury made by JCU alumni, including Anastasiia Shmatina, Mary Rose Castillo, Daryush Arabnia, and Peter Ogden. 

These high-level professionals evaluated each of the winners’ and candidates’ pitches that took place during the competition. This was a great opportunity for them because they had the chance of receiving their feedback on what they thought about each business idea and sight on what they might do to improve it. The event has been a great opportunity for the participants, giving many business insights and embracing the life work experiences of the hosts. We look forward to the next edition of the Shark Venture where more future inspiring entrepreneurs can showcase their business ideas.
